A conveyancer:
- Prepares the Contract of Sale.
- This is the most important legal document. It contains the legally enforceable terms that both sides must fulfil for a transaction to go through.
- Prepares Section 32 Vendor’s Statement.
- Arranges for necessary searches to be conducted.
- Obtains Certificate of Title.
- Completes settlement documents.
Check that the conveyancer has professional indemnity insurance, which covers them for the financial consequences of neglect, errors, etc.
