A conveyancer:

  • Prepares the Contract of Sale.
    • This is the most important legal document. It contains the legally enforceable terms that both sides must fulfil for a transaction to go through.
  • Prepares Section 32 Vendor’s Statement.
  • Arranges for necessary searches to be conducted.
  • Obtains Certificate of Title.
  • Completes settlement documents.

Check that the conveyancer has professional indemnity insurance, which covers them for the financial consequences of neglect, errors, etc.
